With Laundry Load, a wash, dry & fold service with pickup and delivery costs $49 to $126 a load, depending on size: Small (up to 6kg) $49, Medium (up to 10kg) $67, Large (up to 15kg) $95 and Extra Large (up to 20kg) $126. Pickup and delivery adds $12.50 on Small and Medium loads and is free on Large and Extra Large. Below is how laundry services in Sydney usually charge, what a normal week costs, and what can change the price.
The three ways laundry services charge
Most laundry services in Sydney use one of three pricing models. Knowing which one you're looking at makes quotes much easier to compare.
- Per kilo: you pay for the weight of your washing. Easy to understand, but you only know the final price after it's weighed, and some services set a minimum order.
- Per item: common for shirts, ironing and dry cleaning. Predictable for a few pieces, expensive for a full week of everyday washing.
- Per load or bag size: you choose a size and pay a set price for it. This is how Laundry Load works: four sizes by weight, no per-item charges.

Every price is for our full wash, dry & fold service: collected from your door, washed at our own laundromat, dried, folded and brought back. On your first order we waive the $12.50 pickup & delivery fee on Small and Medium loads; the price per load still applies. All prices and add-ons are on our pricing page.
What a typical week costs
The right size depends on how much washing you have, not how many people live with you. As a rough guide:
- One person, a week of clothes: Small, $61.50 including pickup & delivery
- A couple, or one person's clothes plus towels: Medium, $79.50 including pickup & delivery
- A family week, or clothes plus sheets and towels: Large, $95 with free pickup & delivery
- A big household, or a full reset with bedding: Extra Large, $126 with free pickup & delivery
What can change the price
- Express 24-hour return: +$15 per order. Without it, your laundry is back within 48 hours.
- Darks & whites split: +$15 per order, if you want them washed in separate loads.
- More than 20kg: +$30 for every additional 5kg.
- Nothing else: no per-item charges, no folding fee and no subscription.

Is it worth it compared with doing it yourself?
That depends on what your time is worth to you. Add up how long the washing really takes in a normal week: sorting, loading, waiting for the dryer, folding, and any trips to a laundromat. Then compare that with the price of one load.
For many people the deciding factor isn't the money. It's getting an evening or a weekend morning back, especially in apartments without a dryer or anywhere to hang a full load.

- Dried on the setting you choose, then folded, checked by hand and packed.
- Back at your door within 48 hours, or 24 hours with Express.
- A free rewash if something isn't right and you tell us within 24 hours.
